It always starts with a story, and
the story becomes a project.
In my story there was no bench, but an opening with not enough chairs,
there were no square pillows, but stacks of magazines.
And now there is a structure and 24 polyurethane colored pillows.
That is were the story starts again with every user.
The name of this multilayered bench expresses already the idea of
having diverse possibilities of sitting.
High, low and on the floor. You are free to compose and create shapes
and patterns.
“...Chekerdjian has dreamed up a seat which, depending on circumstances
and the number of visitors, combines the Arab love of leaning on
cushions and the European penchant for sitting on sofas.” (Marco
Romanelli for Abitare 396) |
